“Her decades of experience fighting the epidemic and campaigning for the human rights of those affected by it make her the perfect person to help lead the delegation’s work at this crucial time in the response.”
11 January 2018 (Washington, D.C.) — After a thorough selection process, the Developed Country NGO delegation to the Board of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria is delighted to announce that it has selected Robin Montgomery to be its new Alternate Board Member.
Robin joined the Developed Country NGO delegation in 2014. In addition to her work on the delegation, Robin has been a leader in the civil society response to HIV/AIDS for 20 years. She is currently the Executive Director of the Interagency Coalition on AIDS and Development (ICAD) based in Ottawa, Canada.
“Robin has long been an invaluable member of the delegation and I couldn’t be more excited that she has been chosen to be its next Alternate Board Member,” said Mike Podmore, Director of STOPAIDS and the delegation’s Board Member. “Her decades of experience fighting the epidemic and campaigning for the human rights of those affected by it make her the perfect person to help lead the delegation’s work at this crucial time in the response.”
Robin will officially take up her role at the delegation’s annual retreat on 23 – 24 January 2018.
The delegation enthusiastically welcomes Robin to her new role and wishes her luck in the years ahead.
