A Strategic Plan sets the broad framework of goals and priorities for an organization. ICAD is currently working under the guidance of a Strategic Plan for the period 2006-2009. In the Fall of 2009, the organization will begin the process of consultation to develop a new Strategic Plan and this page will contain details of that process as they become available.
The current plan outlines four strategic directions for ICAD:
- Becoming the primary Canadian source of information on HIV/AIDS and development;
- Strengthening the domestic response to HIV/AIDS with lessons learned in other parts of the world, and strengthening the global response to HIV/AIDS by sharing lessons learned in Canada;
- Providing leadership to Canadians in creating effective global policies and programs in response to HIV/AIDS;
- Ensuring the long-term viability of ICAD as an organization.
