Social media actions for June 8th (en anglais seulement)

In preparation for today's March to End AIDS and the UN High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS we are asking you to engage in two social media actions today.

TWITTER

Tomorrow, June 8, is the kick off of the UN High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS. Alicia Keys will be tweeting all day yesterday to demand that our governments keep their promise to fight AIDS.

Please follow Alicia Keys on Twitter (@AliciaKeys) and send her this tweet: @AliciaKeys Tell your followers about March to End AIDS, 11am today June 8 from Bryant Park to UN! @UNAIDS @HealthGAP @BarackObama #endAIDS

Also, RT Alicia's tweets about the march and as you tweet throughout today, please include the hashtag #endAIDS in your tweets.

FACEBOOK

From 1-3pm today we are asking everyone to post on Obama for America's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/ofa.newyork?ref=ts

Tell President Obama to keep his promise and ensure 15 million people will have access to AIDS treatment by 2015 and urge world leaders to commit $24 billion to fight AIDS by 2015.

To post on the page you will first have to "like" the Obama for America page (see link above). Then, rather than posting to Obama's wall you will need to post a link or status update to your own Facebook and tag Obama's page by including @Obama For America - New York.

Please also tag the We Can End AIDS Facebook page by including @We Can End AIDS or @We Can End AIDS March on June 8! so that your posts will show up there as well! You will have to "like" both these pages in order to do so.
