The Sustainable Development Goals and the UNAIDS Strategy

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which were implemented from 2000–2015, were one of the major forces shaping the global development agenda over the last 20 years. To continue the work post-2015, the 193 Member States of the United Nations officially adopted a historic new agenda in September 2015, entitled Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global 2030 Goals for Sustainable Development.
